Losing 10 pounds in body weight can be achieved in one week by using a combination of diet and exercise. The introduction of a diet that is low in fat, carbohydrate and calories will help you to quickly see weight loss results. Increasing the amount of exercise you do each day will mean that your body is burning extra calories. It is estimated that you need to burn around 3,500 calories to lose one pound of fat.

    Replace your usual lunch with soup. Soup helps to keep you feeling fuller for longer, and it's generally low in bad fats and carbohydrates.

    Snack on fruits and vegetables. Replacing your usual snack foods--such as chips and cookies--with healthier options. These options may include raisins, fresh fruit and carrot sticks; they should significantly reduce your intake of calories.

    Exercise three to five times per week. Swimming, jogging and cycling are all effective ways to burn extra calories. One hour of vigorous cycling can burn up to 590 calories.

    Stop eating after 7 p.m. Eating late at night means your body has little opportunity to burn off the calories you have consumed; it is then more likely to absorb unhealthy fats.

    Drink plenty of water. As well as helping to keep you feeling full, drinking six to eight glasses of water a day will flush out toxins.
